Week 12 Waiver Suggestions

Here are our waiver suggestions for this week by position:

Quarterbacks:

Shaun Hill: Hill had a very good game against the Rams and was the second best fantasy quarterback last week behind only Matt Cassel. Hill doesn't have any very easy match-ups until the end of the year but he doesn't have any hard ones either so he is a very safe backup heading into the playoffs.

Sage Rosenfels: Latest word on Schaub is that he will be out for four more weeks which means he will be out until at least week 16. Rosenfels has been pretty average in his last three games but he's faced some tough defenses, look for him to have a good game against the Browns this week.

Other QBs to pickup in smaller leagues or to trade for:
(percentages written indicate expected performance based on strength of schedule; the higher the better)
Tyler Thigpen: 2nd in last five weeks; 103.4% for next five weeks; 110.5% for playoff weeks
Matt Cassel: 4th in last five weeks; 99.5% for next six weeks; 107.1% for playoff weeks.
Joe Flacco: 8th in last five weeks; 97.8% for next six weeks; 95.0% for playoff weeks.
Jeff Garcia: 11th in last five weeks; 108.8% for next six weeks; 104.1% for playoff weeks.

Running backs:

Warrick Dunn: He probably isn't available in your league but if he is you have to pick him up right away. Earnest Graham is expected to be placed on injured reserve so Warrick Dunn will be the full-time starter, if he remains healthy.

J.J. Arrington: Arrington seems to have passed Edgerrin James on the depth chart so if anything happens to Hightower, Arrington could be a big fantasy performer in the final few weeks.

Cadillac Williams: Williams has moved up the depth chart in Tampa Bay and will get a chance in the next few weeks.

Other RBs to pickup in smaller leagues or to trade for:
(percentages written indicate expected performance based on strength of schedule; the higher the better)
Thomas Jones: 2nd in last five weeks; 107.1% for next six weeks; 102.1% for playoff weeks.
DeAngelo Williams: 3rd in last five weeks; 97.8% for next six weeks; 92.7% for playoff weeks.
Ryan Grant: 15th in last five weeks; 95.9% for next six weeks; 101.1% for playoff weeks.
Kevin Smith: 17th in last five weeks; 99.2% for next six weeks; 106.2% for playoff weeks.

Wide receivers:

Deion Branch: Four catches for 54 yards in only his second game this year. If he remains healthy he could be a very solid performer down the stretch with Hasselbeck back.

Donnie Avery: He had a few very slow weeks so may have been dropped by some owners but he had nine catches last week. You can't expect him to be consistent week in and week out but he could be a decent pick-up in some leagues.

Jabar Gaffney: The Patriots won't be involved in a shootout every week so Gaffney is very unlikely to have any other seven catches games but he seems to be forming a good relationship with Cassel.

Other WRs to pickup in smaller leagues or to trade for:
(percentages written indicate expected performance based on strength of schedule; the higher the better)
Eddie Royal: 6th in last five weeks; 91.7% for next six weeks; 92.0% for playoff weeks.
Antonio Bryant: 8th in last five weeks; 103.0% for next six weeks; 97.3% for playoff weeks.
Lance Moore: 9th in last five weeks; 99.9% for next six weeks; 114.1% for playoff weeks.
Ted Ginn Jr: 15th in last five weeks; 102.3% for next six weeks; 104.8% for playoff weeks.

Tight ends:

Dustin Keller: Keller had a slow start to the year but he has 14 catches in his last two games and you should strongly consider picking him up if he's still available. The Titans have a solid D but they are the seventh worst team against TE's this year so Keller could have another pretty good game this week.

Other TEs to pickup in smaller leagues or to trade for:
(percentages written indicate expected performance based on strength of schedule; the higher the better)
Dallas Clark: 2nd in last five weeks; 112.6% for next six weeks; 98.9% for playoff weeks.
